BIRTH OF A LEGACY
The vision for Town Square Jewelers began in 1964, when Walter Rodriguez opened a small jewelry store in Uruguay, South America. Three years later, Walter brought his unique vision for jewelry design to New York City, where he crafted masterpieces for jewelry magnates like Cartier and Tiffany’s and for some of the most famous people in the world, including Elizabeth Taylor, former Prime Minister of Israel, Menachem Begin, and England’s Queen Elizabeth.
TRANSITION TO GEORGIA
In 1993, Walter and his wife, Maria Rosa, left New York City’s fast-paced Diamond District for the smooth Southern tempo of Fayette County to be nearer to their son, Alex, who worked for Delta. Soon after moving, the Rodriguez family found a vacant store-front in downtown Fayetteville and set-up shop for what would become the family’s legacy. The following year, a few weeks before Christmas, Town Square Jewelers sold its first ring.
WHAT WE’RE DOING NOW
In 2004, after a battle with cancer, Walter passed away. Since then, with his father’s vision in-mind, Alex and his wife, Paula, have transformed Town Square Jewelers into a jewel on the Fayetteville square by bringing-in key designer brands like Pandora and Swarovski, not to mention other fine jewelry and bridal brands such as Le Vian, Art Carved, Gabriel, and Caro 74. In addition, Town Square Jewelers offers one-of-a-kind custom jewelry design and a full repair shop with the latest technology—not to mention our latest claim to fame, the “Other” Diamond. We are truly the consumer’s one-stop-shop for anything jewelry related.
Town Square Jewelers, on the square in Fayetteville: don’t just be remembered, be unforgettable.
